Documentation search not functioning as expected

Description of the problem The documentation search field returns a 404 page when used from certain URLs, regardless of the search term used.

Tested terms: module, channel, config, search, template

This URL produces a 404 as well, so you can see the 404 as described above. https://docs.expressionengine.com/search/v5/?q=channel

Was this resolved as I can't replicate this using the steps above?

I think it's morphed; that page shouldn't search the v5 docs anymore since we updated to Algolia. That search page should be reserved for Elastic searches only on the legacy docs.
