Allow application to log to STDOUT

In order to make Bedrock more operationally friendly to containerized environments it is desirable to allow the application to log to STDOUT (and potentially STDERR) rather than sending all log mesages to /dev/log.

Oh that's interesting, can you help me understand how that normally works in a containerized environment? In practice we use syslog for everything, and it works great. Definitely curious to learn more about this!
