ExcelReader reading blank lines from file that was disabled for editing

I had a file with 2 sheets in it, I only needed to parse the first sheet, however the reader was not able to pick up on any values, afterwards I opened the 2nd sheet which was disabled by default, after enabling it I re-ran the program and it picked up the values successfully. If enabling is needed for the reader, is there a way to do this in the reader configuration?

Not sure, do you have a sample file that we can use to reproduce?

The file I have has sensitive information. I re-tried, after nothing was picked up again, I opened excel and found the security warning that the Macros have been disabled. This is what has been causing trouble. Can you advise?
