Best location for server configuration info, and Verto setup tips?
i have lots of good information from my 2016 ClueCon talk that could benefit other Verto users, most importantly:
- example server configuration files
- hard-learned tips from a year of working with Verto in the real world
where should these be added? immediately apparent options include:
- #10
- https://github.com/EvoluxBR/verto-docs/wiki
- a new page or pages on https://freeswitch.org/confluence
thoughts?
I think the best option is the FreeSWITCH confluence. This repository should embrace only JavaScript related things. @italorossi any thoughts?
that would work for me, but if we put in on confluence, i would minimally like to link to it from this documentation, as well as reverse link it to this documentation.
@italorossi if you're in agreement that it should live on confluence, where would be the best place?
It depends on what's the main context of your tips, if they were related to mod_verto then it should be in https://confluence.freeswitch.org/display/FREESWITCH/mod_verto , if related to Verto Communicator it should be on https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Verto+Communicator .
We can also crosslink the mod_verto and Verto Communicator pages.
Verto Communicator page already links to the mod_verto page. mod_verto links to the Verto Communicator itself, I could not see a reference for the VC docs.
my tips are a combination of verto and mod_conference configuration examples, plus the tips i presented at this year's ClueCon.
i can probably integrate the verto config examples into mod_verto, however, i'm not sure the mod_conference configuration examples would be a good fit on the mod_conference page. what about a new page, "Configuring mod_conference for use with mod_verto"?
for now, we could probably toss the tips at the bottom of that new page. thoughts?
