EventSource locks up after computer wakes up from sleep

When I put my computer to sleep after it wakes up again the EventStream no longer seems to work. It does not continue to receive events or report any errors and attempt to re-connect, it just hangs indefinitely.

Environment macOS 10.15.3 node v12.16.0 or v10.17.0

I have a similar issue with Chrome but for me it opens two or sometimes more streams after being woken up. All seems to work correctly with Firefox though
