Unable to unzip mac app

I'm unzipping an mac app and for some reason if I use node-unzip I get this message.

I opened up mac Console and can see it logs the following when I try to run:

I think I might have figured out why this is happening.

When I unzip with archive utility or tar It works because they follow simlinks. None of the node unzippers seem to do this.
