Cannot use ALT key from zellij
I m using tabby on windows with ssh to code. From my remote server, I m using zsh and zellij. Default shortcuts of zellij use ALT+arrow to switch between pane.
I cannot use this combinaison of key from tabby. ( works from mobaxterm ). Pressing ALT key show me an unwanted cross cursor. I tried to remove all keybinding from tabby and enable "Use Alt as the Meta key" . But it doesn't work.
ALT + <+|-> doesn't work too. It looks that ALT + arrow Key or num pad doesn't work
I can confirm that I am experiencing the same issue. The symptoms are identical to those described above.
In my case, I can move between Zellij panes left and right but not up and down, when using the Alt + arrow keys. I found Alt key to be problematic even outside Zellij. Some combinations work while others don't. I'll try to document the specific failure cases later.
Faced the same issue on Mac. The following solved it:
- Go to Tabby Settings > Terminal (Tab) > Keyboard (Section) > Toggle ON "Use ⌥ as the Meta Key"
- Restart Tabby (Doesn't work without restart).
The cross cursor still comes up, but the Alt+F keys get sent to the terminal.
