Broken font rendering in light themes

Version: 1.0.207 Platform: Linux x64 6.1.0-18-amd64 Plugins: none Frontend: xterm-webgl

When I select any built-in light theme, the font gets super skinny and nearly unreadable. Even if I increase the font weight, the lines aren't the same width and look really weird.

If I switch to a dark theme, the issue goes away. (it looks fine)

The issue persists no matter what font size, font, or light theme I use. Gnome DE with xorg

Here is a screenshot with the "day" theme, Ubuntu Mono font, 600 font weight, 800 bold font weight

The same behaviour happens on Windows; changing to use light themes messes up the font rendering.

Going to Settings -> Window -> Tick disable GPU acceleration solved the issue for me.
