Occasional temporary frozen state that resolves after 5-10 seconds - settings related?

Describe the problem: After not using the terminal for some minutes or hours, and then switching back to Tabby, sometimes it is frozen. It does not respond to keyboard input, nor to mouse clicks. After 3-10 seconds, it starts working again.

This occurs on an Apple MacBook Pro, M3 Pro CPU, running macOS 14.2 (Sonoma). Tabby is installed via the Homebrew package manager. Tabby version 1.0.205.

I note that I can also cause this issue to occur when attempting to open Tabby Settings, even when the terminals were working fine just seconds ago. So perhaps this issue is related to the settings, or a plugin? I have the Docker plugin installed -- so am going to uninstall that and see if it helps.

To Reproduce:

Not sure of exact process to reproduce, but believe it might be related to when the system is locked or goes to sleep.

  • Launch Tabby, open one or more terminal windows.
  • Do things in other windows (Chrome, Firefox, etc)
  • Maybe lock the screen and make a coffee
  • Come back, wake up laptop from screensaver or sleep mode
  • Cmd-Tab to Tabby, try to type into a terminal

It's worth noting that 90% of the time, this works fine. But two or three times a day, I hit this bug.
