I have to report this issue I'm facing as well. The terminal, from the latest update, became quite unusable because of the input lag while typing or performing any SSH operation. I tried the latest version on two different computer with two different operating systems on two different Internet connections (both are huge, like 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps) and I faced the same problem: the remote ssh terminal has a noticable input lag which makes it hard to work with. The local terminal, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have any input lag. Other termnals on the remote ssh connection don't have any issue.
