Misunderstandings vs misbehavior

Point out that the consequences for misunderstandings (acknowledgement, apology, and changed behavior) are different from those of misconduct (which may include censure or temporary or permanent banning).

@webmaven No language in mind as of yet. I usually wait until I have a few things labelled with the milestone and then do the writing all at once, and them put out a general call for review.
