Portal Types & Improvements

Base Functionality

  • [x] Same-location portals
  • [x] Capture envmap of the other spawn position
  • [x] No model or preview mesh

Portal effects

  • [x] Default - uses loading screen ui (refactor app state too)
  • [ ] Fix spawn rotation
  • [ ] Hyperspace effect
    • [x] Convert to inverted sphere mesh with the other scene envmap render
    • [ ] Mesh shrinks when arriving in the new location until the user exists the portal (have a nice spring lerp up when it becomes active)
    • [ ] Locked/deactivated portals

    • [ ] Exponential ramp up the scene flying away behind you as you begin to warp, with the reverse happening when the new scene loads in
