No light shows up when connected via Ethernet

As the title suggests it doesn't detect anything when connected via Ethernet even though LAN Control is on. Switching to Wi-Fi instantly fixes this problem (how ironic "LAN" Control). Once the light's detected I can turn off Wi-Fi and continue using it via Ethernet since the app obtained the IP adress but it's a hassle.

I experienced this behavior on another app called "Yeelight Control" from Windows Store. I also contacted that developer but I'm pretty sure their vague neutral answer means they no longer have the motivation/interest to work on the project.

So I'm once again proposing this somewhat of a fix here as well: if there was an option to manually input an IP address and save it, it would solve the issue I'm facing.

I'm not getting my hopes up but thanks anyway...
