Can't Delete moves in paledit

Perhaps I'm not doing it right, but I assumed the wastebasket icon by the move list is what you would use to delete moves, but clicking it with a move highlighted doesn't do anything. I don't know what I did but I now have a Selyne with fluffy tackle and I can't get rid of it.

I had this same issue. I used PalEdit to increase the level of a Selyne (can't recall its original level) to 50. At some point along the way, Fluffy Tackle was added to its move list and PalEdit cannot delete it via the waste basket icon, nor can it remove any other move equipped to any Pal I have.
