Font variant ss01 and ligature not working google version

I noticed that the alternate stylish setting "ss01" and the discretionary ligatures doesn't turn on when using the google version. But if I self host using the version from this repo it works.

Noted! Might be how google is serving it up, or how you’re pulling it in and applying it. Feel like sharing any code?

Thanks for that! I'm also unable to get dlig/ss01 when I use Google's stylesheet/import. But downloading and self hosting the fonts is working fine, just like you said.

@RosaWagner any insight here? Is this a Google Fonts issue, a problem with how the font is being called, or a Grandstander issue?

GF subsets stylistic features because they still don't support it in Workspace. It shall change in the future.
