Feature Request: Tap On Event In Month View

Open trymeouteh opened this issue 5 years ago • 6 comments

To view an event you need to tap on it in the week, day or agenda view. Please add the ability to view events in the month view.

A method to make this work is to tap on the day and a modal/popup will appear showing all the events on that day and from there you can tap on the event to view it.

I don't see any difference to current behavior. You click on a day in the month view, then the day view opens. There you can tap the event to view it.

When you tap on the event in the month view, it will go to day view. I would like a option to have so instead of going to day view it will go to the event view. aCalendar does this and I find it more user friendly.

If you have more than one event on a day in "month view", how do you select the right on? I think this would be hard on 4" devices etc. But if we have only on event on that day than maybe we could go directly into event view. @0xym You know the month view better than me ;). Is something like that easy to do?

I think that aCalendar handles it perfectly: Tapping on a day in month view shows mini list of events (something like tabbed view) for that day with all important details visible and controls for: edit, share, copy, delete. Actually it has the same amount of details presented as event view, but is more concise. I can look into this, but not this week. Also - at the moment selecting item in month view takes user to either agenda or day view - depending on what was recently navigated to. Adding new behavior will most likely require new configuration option

Sounds good ;).

I can look into this, but not this week.

Right now, I don't have much time either. So don't stress and take your time.

Anyone working on this yet?
