[Tracking] MiniMessage and Components Feature Requests
Hey all! Given the addition of Adventure/MiniMessage in our 2.21.0 release, we wanted a central place to discuss ways our existing plugin features can now take advantage of chat chat components and/or MiniMessage.
Below is a list of ideas that we think are good to implement along with ideas we don't necessarily think are good to implement. Please leave a comment on this issue with further ways you think we can leverage Adventure or MiniMessage and we'll add it to the below list.
The following ideas will be implemented;
- MiniMessage support in
/give,/itemname, and/itemlore - Support for MiniMessage in Player Chat
- Ability to click to copy IP Addresses in /seen as well as a button to search for alts.
- Click to accept or deny tp requests
The following ideas will NOT be implemented;
- None yet
Would the MiniMessage/Adventure translations usage be something y'all would implement? As a configuration toggle it would be a really powerful feature to send players messages from the locale they're using inside Minecraft

There is per-player-locale in the config in 2.21.0 which sends the translations for the client language if that's what you're referring to

Oh.. yes that's exactly what I'm referring to, thank you, I missed that from the update
When I am hovering over a player msg it'll show player name, player death kill count, balances, playtime etc with placeholder api support like donutsmp chat hover. Can it be done with essentialx chat? Venturechat and chatcontrol red supports this Please bring this feature.
Looks like MOTD doesn't use MiniMessage. Same goes for join/quit messages, which is quite annoying, since I'll need another plugin if I want to maintain a color scheme
