Facebook Share Doesn't Set Title Correctly

Facebook has changed how Sharer.php works. [It no longer accepts detailed parameters](no longer accept detailed parameters?).
However, the template stills sets the title and content. This gives users the impression that the template isn't working correctly.
To resolve this, either:

  • Switch to Facebook's feed dialog way of sharing to Facebook. This might include the requirement to obtain an App ID from Facebook.
  • Remove the expectation that the template can set the title.

The issue described in the blog post https://developerscorner.storymaps.arcgis.com/how-to-fix-facebook-sharing-6df958944a1c has now been fixed in this repo. See release 1.4.9.

For existing deployed Shortlists that have the issue just see the blog post above for how to simply apply the fix to your Shortlist without downloading 1.4.9.
