Variation in SVG size for Control Measures and METOC

Open lfunkhouser opened this issue 6 years ago • 0 comments

The SVGs provided for METOC points and some Control Measure points are not consistent in size. Some are very large while others much smaller.

For example, these use the same scale (1:800,000). The Chemical Point is much smaller than a unit: nbcsymbolsize

The METOC symbols are very large compared to units: sizevariationcmunits

The provided SVGs do not use a consistent reference like the unit icons, so the SVGs cannot be used as is and have to be changed on a symbol-by-symbol basis. This leaves the interpretation of the appropriate size up to the implementer.

Question: what is the accurate size of these symbols? Request is to have them updated at the source level to the accurate sizes if they are inaccurate.
