Ruler and guides

We should show a ruler so distances can be gauged. Guides should be draggable from the ruler to make alignment easier.

Early prototype: Need to decide how to handle interaction with setup/animate, zoom, etc. Right is better for negative numbers. Need UI for turning it on/off (hotkey alone isn't enough). @shiu can do a mockup (no rush). Might make it into 3.8.

@shiu Need mockup for how rules (and guides) look. Can't decide what release it can go in until we have that.

We shouldn't have closed this, as we added rulers but not guides!

4.2.00-beta shows the world coordinates. No guides yet though.

Are guides being cut or they're just very low prio? They might come handy at times...

The task is still open, so we'll have guides eventually. Doing it well requires a fair amount of work, as many things should snap to guides.

I appreciate the guideline snap function.

However, I would appreciate it if you could at least release the guideline display function without using the snap function.

@tanahashi-666 While we don't have guides yet, we have rulers that show the values (ctrl+shift+R).

However, a ruler alone is not enough.

I understand that snapping is difficult.

That's why I'd be happy if there was also a function to display images of the guide lines.
