Charts only show up in direct debugging

The daily chart on the charts page is only visible when running the app via the "run" option in Android studio (Debug or Release, doesn't matter) - either on a device or emulator. When building the apk using flutter build apk and installing, the graph title shows up but no line or axis are displayed.
