new term: subpolar deciduous needleleaf forest
Dear all,
It would be great if (just like the "temperate coniferous forest biome") the "subpolar coniferous forest biome" could be divided into the subclasses subpolar deciduous needleleaf forest and subpolar evergreen needleleaf forest, as especially the Russian boreal forest consists mainly of deciduous larches (see also: http://maps.elie.ucl.ac.be/CCI/viewer/index.php)
Furthermore, the "terrestrial environmental zone" has subclasses
-
anthropised terrestrial environmental zone -
area of barren land -
area of deciduous forest -
vegetated area
But deciduous forests are also vegetated areas, I would say?
Best regards
Hi to all,
as I am quite new to git and to ontologies - do I understand it right, that everyone should do the editing by oneself?
@mwieczor0 thanks for the request - sorry for the delay.

If you feel able to do it and/or you intend to add quite a lot of terms, then we would prefer it if you send in pull requests after reading our guidance here: https://github.com/EnvironmentOntology/envo/wiki/Adding-classes-to-ENVO
If you just have a few requests, we can add them for you.
Thank you very much for your reply! At the moment I have only this one request and feel not yet able to do the editing by myself - I would be very grateful if you could do the editing. In case more terms will come up, I will work myself into how to do the editing
Best wishes Mareike
