Installing barman or barman-cli version 3.5 fails on Redhat 7 and 8 using EPEL

New version seems to miss some dependencies yum install barman-cli.noarch EPEL8 93 kB/s | 2.3 kB 00:00 Error: Problem: conflicting requests

• nothing provides python3dist(barman) = 3.5 needed by barman-cli-3.5.0-2.el8.noarch (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)

Thanks for reporting @allanharry - the packages in EPEL are produced by the Fedora project (we don't have any direct involvement) so we'll need to file a bug report over at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/barman to get this resolved.
