Files larger than ~265 MiB are truncated and corrupted

Subject says it all. Repeatable.

and I can reproduce this, by just making a long recording, and checking in ls -lh /tmp/rMD-session-NNNNN for img.out to become e.g. 400 MB.

Then when you play the video, it will become all black in the end.

Hmm now I am having trouble reproducing this, despite being able to on the first try.

If someone comes up with a reliable step-by-step, please share!
