[Contextual Cursor] Cursors stop displaying and only reinstall fixes

Open adamk33n3r opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

This issue is for the external plugin: Contextual Cursor

Occasionally, seemingly randomly, the contextual cursor just stops working. Disabling and re-enabling doesn't solve it. What does "solve" it is uninstalling and re-installing. I haven't been able to find the trigger for it, but it may have to do with teleporting. I was doing a lot of teleporting today and I did check after I teleported to Varrock once and noticed it still working, but that was just once. I'll keep trying to pay attention and see if I can tell when it happens again and come back to comment, but I wanted to make this issue to bring it to your attention in case you, or others, knew something or could better help me diagnose the issue.

Oops, my bad @Hydrox6. I don't know why I didn't set a title 😬

Alright, it happened again while I was just killing lizardmen after it had been working for about an hour or so. So I guess it's not related to teleporting.

I think I figured out the cause! Alt-tabbing! When I ALT-TAB and then come back the cursor is gone. But if I just tap ALT then it comes back. I also see that while I'm holding down alt, the cursor disappears and then comes back when I let go. So it seems that when alt-tabbing, the client is registering the hold, which removes the cursor, but because of the alt-tab, it doesn't register the release of the ALT so it never brings them back.
