error 127 in flashing katapult to BTT MMB CAN V2

after i have completed the menuconfig and writen the command 'make' it comes up with: compiling out/src/sched.o make: arm-none-eabi-gcc: No such file or directory make: *** [makefile:71: out/src/sched.o] error 127

does anybody know a fix for this, i am a beginner coder and not very familiar with rasberry pi or python. using BTT MMB CAN V2 and raspberry pi 3.
