Brandon McGee Jr. Brandon L. McGee Jr., is serving his fourth term as a State Representative, seeking re-election for the 5th Assembly District, to continue advocating for residents in Windsor and Hartford. A Hartford native, Brandon takes on a holistic approach when influencing policy throughout our state and has continuously advocated for equity in education, criminal justice reform, voter registration and empowerment for people of color and their communities. He also took part in passing one of the nation’s most generous Paid Family and Medical Leave laws. Brandon currently serves as Chairman of the Connecticut legislature's Housing Committee and Co-Chair of the Black and Puerto Rican Caucus. He also serves on the Education Committee and the Human Services Committee. While having earned his Bachelor’s degree from Alabama State University, he went on to pursue an M.S. from Albertus Magnus College. Utilizing his skillset and experience, afforded him the opportunity to work alongside constituents, serving on numerous boards that aim to enhance communal resources, that of, Ascend Mentoring and BSL Education Foundation (President), Citadel of Love Church (Deacon), Hartford Behavioral Health, and Jewish Family Services.

Throughout his career, he's received an abundance of awards for his civic work. Brandon remains as the Chief Creative Officer of the McGee Firm in Hartford, and is employed at the Capitol Region Education Council. He currently lives in Hartford with his wife and two daughters.

Craig Stallings Craig is Former Chairman of the Hartford Board of Education, currently serving as a Board Member. He has been a PTO president at two Hartford schools and was coordinator of the original governance council at Thirman Milner School.

As Chairman he had over site of the completion of the Weaver High School Project. As well as making sure that the funding was secured for the renovation project of the "MLK" School. Noted it is the only in the State of CT. It is slated to be completed and open for school year 2020 - 2021.

He has been Co-Owner and Marketing Manager for Stallings Tax Service LLC since 2006, as well as having worked out of the home as a customer service representative for Tele-Tech, contracted to work for Bank of America.

A graduate of Weaver High School, he has attended Capital and Manchester Community Colleges and the University of Hartford and is father to three young men, one whom is currently a Police Cadet at HPD and the other two are still attending the Hartford Public School system.
