Display current ADA price and wallet balance value in (some) fiat
Community were noticed to ask for a feature like this multiple times. Creating this issue just so that people can vote and we can see if it's really needed.
Note:
- Need decent source of data on price (CMC is not canon)
- Most definitely need to support bunch of fiats (tho first iteration might be for USD only)
- For multiple different currencies need to bother with correct locale-formatting for this currency
- Current price value of course can be used only to display current wallet value in fiat, but there's potentially some use in historical data for this, e.g. displaying the price of ADA at the time of a transaction. But this requires VERY careful thinking and planning, and by far not as easy as it sounds, because "price" is a very relative thing. But potentially we could do something to also export fiat values in the transactions-to-file feature too.

This feature benefits the user, so I gave it a thumbs up. Eventually, this feature should go away as the Ada to USD relationship becomes less important. For now, it's a useful piece of information. For reference, the Coinbase Wallet has this feature.

Poll means that at least 26-28 people (presumably) consciously voted to have fiat view.
I think the poll above is slightly misleading because you could interpret is as wanting to have an actual exchange (like Shapeshift, etc) integrated into Yoroi which is different from just showing the FIAT value of an account

Removing the "low priority" tag most of the tasks that had higher priority have been completed by now. Hopefully we can get this in Q3
Just switched from Exodus to Yoroi and this is the first thing I noticed, that the fiat preview is missing. Would love to have this feature.
I think this will be a great plus for all...also because Exodus already have it
Just finished setting up Yoroi, and was admittedly surprised that this information cannot be displayed (would have chosen a different wallet if I had known). Is this a dead request or should I hold out for a future release?
