Default Hair Color
Unicode Emoji (UTS#51) provides some guidance for default neutral skin and hair colors. It used to say that a non-human skin color (e.g. gray or light blue) was preferable since Simpsons-like yellow still suggested European white, but it is now shifting towards recommending that emoticons and neutral people share the same color as they already do in most implementations.
No particular hair color is required, however, dark hair is generally regarded as more neutral because people of every skin tone can have black (or very dark brown) hair.
Emojione has inherited dark yellow or light orange default hair from Emojione. This is easily confused with blonde as in 👱 Person with Blond Hair. We should consider to switch to black or an unnatural blue (like Marge Simpson etc.), purple, red or even green.
Our Clown Face 🤡 already has been changed from blue to red hair. Another humanish emoji with hair allowing is the Japanese Ogre 👹.
The natural hair colors usually called red or ginger in English are well on the yellow/blond or orange side of the spectrum. I meant a bright unnatural red.
I believe our blue works best indeed, although I favored purple before I tried it.
