Why Attributes instead of sensors?

Thank you very much for this custom component, great work!! I was easily able to integrate my Sun2000 into Home Assistant with it.

I have a simple question regarding your solution: Why did you choose to provide data like "Input power" as attribute and not as sensor? Integrating sensors into home assistant dashboards seems easier, but I am sure you had good reasons not to use them.
