Selected dot color not appearing initially when I change pages value (number of pages)

When I set number of pages for the first time, it works fine but not when I change or reset the the pages property. It initially doesn't work but when I twice or thrice changes the current page value. It works fine.

Weird bug. If I set the value of pages less than 7 it works fine but when it is greater than equal to 7, it does not update immediately. This does not happen when I set it initially. This occurs when I change the value let's say on reload or button tap.
