This actually already seems to be working in the App Store release, so I'll be closing this issue.
That's completely fine, for me the thing I was mostly looking for was the currently available functionality. Having this available for normal links in post/ comment bodies would be awesome!
Something that kind of lines up with this issue is that it would be great if admins (or maybe a new role called "super admin" for example). Should have access...
