fwiw i've done a basic version in https://git.blobfox.coffee/mastodon/blobfoxcoffee/pulls/3/files (very mediocre code quality, and missing the hashtag timelines, but it seems to work from my testing)

i'm no expert in rust, but it looks like with the new tracing `target_quality.rs` didn't get it enabled?

well, the old logging would give info on the selected crf, the expected quality for the chunk, and the crf values it probed with the corresponding quality which is imo...

ahh, okay, i had set the logging level to info because of the overly verbose logging in 0.4.4 sorry for the trouble

i fixed it for a while by deleting the local cache and adding the repo again, but the issue is back again
