DEV C++ not showing colors

hey there im a newbie at everything and im currently working on a uni project using C

I know this isn't exactly a programming issue, but my dev c++ isn't showing different colors for parts of the code after i save my files, does anyone know what to do to fix it?

it's not that big of an issue on smaller codes but i have a bigger project that kinda relies on this
