Hi, I hope there is an alternative that works on latest version of non rooted Android. Any ideas? Thank you!

It does work. My Android is 7.0... I can't remember if it's rooted, maybe it is....

use this : https://github.com/natario1/whatsapp-database-merger in combination with FMWhatapp or GBWhatapp to get not encrypted backup. don't know if these are really safe in term of confidentiality FYI

@SenCodeMaker How to migrate data then FMWhatapp or GBWhatapp do not support Google drive backups. :( And I still need to get key and database to export the chats. :(
