Just curious if you plan to support MKV media? My library is mixed, but definitely not all MP4.

Not supporting MKV makes this app worthless, MKV has been the standard for self hosted media for more than a decade.

Worthless is too harsh a word buddy. but yeah I get your point. I have really been struggling with live transcoding. it isn't as easy as you'd imagine. it works but only sometimes and only on my pc hehe. It is my end goal so while it isn't not currently functional give me some time and I'd get there.

I intend to open a server, but unfortunately most of the files are in mkv format

Hey I am actively looking for alpha testers for the transcoding feature "https://github.com/Eleven-am/frames/tree/transcode". I hope you can check it out and send me back your feedback so I can improve as much as possible the code

MKV is supported under like every browser now days not sure you would even need to transcode that.

No that's false, no browser supports the mkv container out of the box. At the least you'd need to transmux the video to have it play.

Can you put together a full docker or compose that has everything ready to go for testing, IDC what the passwords are make everything super generic so we can just add media and test w/out having to spin up everything from scratch would be great.
