Hello, when I want to add a bibtex, why is it invalid. I add \addbibresource{reference.bib} from your source code but I can't get the reference at the bottom

You can try like this:

\documentclass[bibedn=bibtex]{elegantbook}

then bibtex works, I think.

Still no. In your elegantpaper_en example, there’s no reference showing actually.

If you are comfortable with biblatex, you can use the following chain to get the correct reference (without the bibend=bibtex option):

pdflatex elegantpaper-en
biber elegantpaper-en
pdflatex elegantpaper-en
pdflatex elegantpaper-en

In addition, the bibend option is not bibedn.

If you are comfortable with biblatex, you can use the following chain to get the correct reference (without the bibend=bibtex option):

pdflatex elegantpaper-en

biber elegantpaper-en

pdflatex elegantpaper-en

pdflatex elegantpaper-en

In addition, the bibend option is not bibedn.

Or can I just use these instructions to build my reference?:

‘\bibliographystyle{plain}’ ‘\bibliography{ref}’
