Lightning Disc not working with ring of the defender and force field

Minecraft version: 1.12.2 Wizardry version: 4.2.8 Environment: LAN game/Server

Issue details: When I use lightning disc through a force field with ring of the defender it does no damage upon contacting enemies.

Other mods involved: None

Yes, I have also experienced this and it's quite annoying.

Neither does lightning web, at least for me. Are you having that problem too?
