That's actually hilarious. I had no idea that the lamp chains could become shorter like that.

Since lamps behavior depends on the weather, it's probably slowly ramping to ridiculous because of some ridiculous weather conditions? Perhaps you have some weather mod installed?

Do you have a modlist? It may be helpful.
