About the BMI Profile Field and other additional fields

in the recent builds, added profile fields were re-enabled. this triggers a nasty bug involving the BMI field when i view my own profile.

expected result: my profile says normal weight actual result: damn thing says i'm overweight! workaround: avoid looking at my own profile lol im kidding :-p

My profile works fine in terms of BMI, hope you're kidding throughout your whole message and not just on the part you explain your "workaround" lmao

i dont even put my stats in my profile.

but it would show overweight if i did: im well trained and BMI doesnt work for bodybuilders.

btw, it would be nice if the grid could be sorted by height or weight or BMI. i go for bulky guys and 90+% of guys have way low bmi for my taste.

Yeah I'd be great but you know , there's a lot of work to be done in figuring out how the filter drawer UI works as its symbols are also obfuscated. I don't know much about Android UI Drawers to be honest, if you get something new about it it could be awesome.

Also, the filters that are now server-side can also be implemented on the client-side by implementing the filtering on the hook

sorting is much easier UI than filtering. a long click on any existing item on the grid can be used to pop up your own window. also you can create a complex UI in your module app running as a separate app from grindr. users can set filters in your app by launching your app and they would be enforced in grindr. or a long click can pop up your app.

btw here is are the top 2 features id like:

• be able to see all albums shared with me, not just the more recent 5 or so. this may not be enforced server side.

• be able to hide profiles. for example: a long click on the report/block icon makes hides the profile and preferably jumps to the next. the profile id is recorded and the grid will not show it again. if you enter the profile via chat or tap, it shows normally, preferably with an indication (block icon red?). if you long click the iconagain, you unhide the profile. somewhere (your apps UI) theres a single on off toggle to disable hiding in the grid. the hidden profiles would still show with a red icon. this feature would be invaluable: you look at a profile once and you dont have to see it ever again. alternatively, you can make a long click on the block/report icon block immediately and move to the next profile.

bonus:

• disable auto refresh of the grid. but i can sort of do this already by turning locstion off.

• intercept incoming blocks and locally keep the chat.

Well, after all, the BMI is just one more numeric reference, but not strictly enough to reach conclusions. If the guy in question catches your eye is more than enough haha. We're more than just numbers; although bankers, accountants or we coders take care of defending the opposite argument.
