Microsoft starts considering the plugin suspicious

Here's the email I received today: 2021-07-06-124834_1366x768_scrot Which was accompanied by Magic T errors, until I opened the web version. And this time, it neither required to re-login nor showed some temporary pages, which usually cause the plugin to break. Only the plugin itself was restricted from logging in.

Which is important to note in the email, is that the user-agent is empty. I suppose skype4pidgin should start to mimick Chromium prematurely, maybe only the UA now or other headers too, before something worse started happening.

Just to check, is that with the 'Use alternate login method' setting in the Advanced tab of the account, enabled or disabled?

Disabled.

I think this is related to IP address changes.
I'm getting these fairly regularly when travelling and connecting trough local wifi, but not when connecting through mobile network, even though they assign a dynamic IP.

I believe either subnet or GeoIP change triggers this security alert.

Well, I connect through a cellular operator exclusively.

Though I also have skype4pidgin running on a foreign server with a stable IP.
