skypeweb: duplicate blocks of messages in conversations

When logging in after being offline, conversations will sometimes contain blocks of messages twice.

For example if some one wrote while I was offline: xxx: hello xxx: how are xxx: you?

After logging in I get: xxx: hello xxx: how are xxx: you? xxx: hello xxx: how are xxx: you?

I think this happens when we try to download history since we last logged in (to get messages sent/recieved by other clients), but the Skype servers also give us the same messages as if they were new incoming messages

How would you go about fixing this? I might be able to invest some time into it if you can outline the approach you have in mind.
