"Internal server error" popup for many event

On many occasions, I get a popup saying "Internal server error". This includes:

• Once for every joined channel when pidgin is started
• Once for every incoming message in a room
• I haven't tested private messages yet

Example:

In the logs, I cannot find any mention of this issue.

Other than that, it seems to work fine. However, those constant popups are very annoying, which is an issue.

Versions:

• Mattermost Version 5.34.2, through the Gitlab token
• I built purple-mattermost from master
• Pidgin 2.14.1.
