pidgin-opensteamworks accepting friend requests no longer work

A temporary solution is to go to steamcommunity.com to accept the friend requests. If I accept the friend request within pidgin it will pop up again later.

Bugger, this must have only just broken as I accepted a friend request last week. I'll have a look and see what the changes are

Another issue that might be related is that someone added me on accident and removed the request before I accepted. Now those requests keep coming back on pidgin even though there are no notifications on steamcommunity

The issue with that I keep getting the same two friend requests over and over seems to be a local problem as it doesn't happen on my laptop. They are already on my friend list too.

So accepting friend requests still works for me. When you try to view the profile for the id that's requesting the add in Pidgin, does it go to a valid user page or is it a group page? Would you be able to provide the id here?

Have the same issue. Authorizing the buddy (76561198018605123, not a group) does nothing. However, using "send instant message" and then using "Add" under conversation to add him worked. After doing this I no longer get the Authorization message as others do. OS: Windows 7 64-bit Pidgin 2.12.0
