@matteodelabre did you test on a rM2 with linux-mainline? If so, this can probably be merged.

@pr0fsmith any chance you could get this cleaned up and ready? I'd love to get it merged.

It would be nice to have this automatically do a backup/restore on install, but we'd need a better mechanism to make sure that normal usage can't interfere with what files...

Unfortunatly using /etc/version as an always increasing value will no longer work, one of the 3.6 releases has a value from 2018. We can pull the official value from `/usr/share/remarkable/update.conf`...

I've updated the logic to handle minimum and maximum versions, this should provide the building blocks required to start generating multiple repos with different OS version ranges. I haven't tested...
