... the calendar will only be loaded between 17th of november 25 (release 4.13) and 31st of december 26 (end of jubilee)

There's already a check in the init_fullcalendar#2 function for empty icalEvents.

Great point! Since the date is already passed into that function, the test is even simpler over there.
