see e.g. Weber's "Empfangsvermerke" in A042848 or A042734, properly encoded as <addSpan>.

as discussed today at our "Klausurtagung", the plan is to add a dedicated symbol to the HTML output that will indicate the following hand.

I'm working on the same issue in the Henze-Digital project. In the code we us @hand, e.g., in <add> or <del> to link to the <handNotes> in the header. At the moment the rendering is done in the XSLT and the information appears in the pop up. Open issue for me: In the edition there is no indication that those Additions are from secondary hands.

My thoughts on this:

  • Higlighting (in some way) + filter at the seetings menu (for deactivating)
  • Adding a List of hands (as it exists fro persons, institutions, places, and so on)
