Radioking TX18S: All stick-readings are zero in recent nightly

Open Steini63 opened this issue 7 months ago • 2 comments

Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • [x] I have searched the existing issues

What part of EdgeTX is the focus of this bug?

Transmitter firmware

Current Behavior

I have tried the nightly from 25.05.2025 (t18-a0aec17.bin) to test the new ELRS telemetry sensors (works by the way). The problem: With my transmitter “Radioking TX18S”, all four stick values are read as zero in this version. Stick movements do not cause any change. Calibration is not possible. The side sliders and the pots work as usual.

I noticed that on the debug screen the stick values are labeled "D1" to "D4" instead of "01" to "04".

I deleted the Radio.yml and all Modelx.yml for testing and restarted - the error remained.

Expected Behavior

Working sticks.

Steps To Reproduce

Flash nightly to Radioking (or maybe Jumper) T18.

Version

2.11.1

Transmitter

Jumper T18

Operating System (OS)

Windows

OS Version

11

Anything else?

No response

Radioking T18

non supported transmitter

Yes, but identical to the Jumper T18, where the same bug most likely exists.

(I mislabeled the transmitter as Radioking T18, but it is actually Radioking TX18S; a typo on my part).

@Steini63 See if this is fixed in the latest nightly - I suspect it could be related to the PWM sticks issue that clobbered the T16 sticks.

Unfortunately no improvement with "t18-333c7fd.bin". Could the different designations of the anlaog inputs (D01-D04 instead of 01-04) be a hint?

Sorry, you clearly got back to testing this sooner than I expected, as I meant the next nightly... can you try this build then, as that contains the fix that will be in the next nightly.

The change in the designator indicates the code has jumped into digital sticks mode, rather than PWM...

Hm, probably better to give you t18 firmware? 😆

The sticks are back on pr6373 - the issue seems to be solved. Thanks a lot!

Perfect. Thanks for checking back so quickly! You should be right from the next nightly onwards now.
