2.11.1 Flash RX over external module bay not possible

Current Behavior
Unable to flash Frsky RX over external module. When attempting to reset the RX, the receiver briefly lights up green and then the error message "Firmware update error Device not responding" appears. I've tried this on the X12S and TX16S. Flashing the RX via OTA works.
Expected Behavior
Flashing RX firmware over extenal module.
Steps To Reproduce
- Connect RX with corrct cable to the external module connector
- Locate correct firmware for the RX on the SD card
- select flash external modul

Hello, the same on Frsky QX7 with EdgeTx 2.11.3: no way to flash a receiver. The same error like above only in black and white. It works well on version 2.10.6 and with a X9D plus 2019 SE on version 2.11.3
The LUA- Script for activating Mike Blandfords UNI- Firmware on Frsky ACCST- receivers doesn't work anymore either. It generates nothing (no number sequences) on the QX7 with 2.11.3 and only one number sequence of the necessary three on the X9D plus 2019 SE (version 2.11.3). This worked well on OpenTx.

Potentially related to https://github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx/pull/6637, did anyone try after this has been cherry-picked to 2.11 (https://github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx/commit/b5370842c9c604006a5004e8abbc9eb22d8e7342)?
@FS4000 the issue you're describing is totally different, check #6618 instead.
The issue here is most probably that fixed by #6637, as it fits the exact case:
- FrSky X12S is one of the only radios to use RX DMA on S.PORT
- when flashing an receiver, IDLE IRQ is not used.
