not working on iPhone XR

I'm working on an app written in Ionic 1, AngularJS 1.5.3 and Cordova.

I have installed this plugin and it works on Android, and iPhone 8.

However, for iOS 13.6 and iPhone XR it is not working.

It doesn't re-direct back to the application.

Is this related to the new wkwebview engine?
